Former deputy mayor of Viranşehir arrested

Former deputy mayor of Viranşehir, Kemal Kodin, has been arrested on the grounds of writing "Şaredarîya Wêranşerê" on cars of Viranşehir Municipality. Viranşehir Criminal Court of First Instance sued deputy mayor in 2010 on the grounds of opposing the act on alphabet, considering that there was no letter “W” in the Turkish alphabet.
